The Vijayalakshmi store in Hyderabad is designed as a boutique-style retail space blending modern and traditional elements. The interior features a hallway leading into the retail area with a patterned carpet tiled look, wooden-and-cane chairs, and tables displaying fabrics. The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting, catering to a premium shopping experience.
The brand was keen on outgrowing its conventional retail format and needed a distinctive boutique environment that could set it apart from a typical store. The existing space lacked the curated ambience and adaptable layout required for a premium, brand-focused experience, while the client also wanted a palette of soft, feminine pastels to reflect the brand’s identity. Balancing aesthetic cohesion with future-proof flexibility posed a design hurdle, especially within the constraints of the existing footprint.
To meet the challenge, we transformed the space into a boutique retail setting anchored by a unified pastel colour scheme—soft mauves, blush pinks, and muted lilacs applied to walls, fixtures, and signage. Custom-modular display units were introduced, allowing easy reconfiguration for seasonal collections or pop-up concepts. Lighting was layered with adjustable warm LEDs and accent fixtures to highlight product zones while preserving the gentle ambience. Recessed shelving, interchangeable graphic panels, and a flexible floor-plan grid ensure the boutique can evolve without major renovations, delivering a timeless yet adaptable retail experience.
