In this prime position now stands an impressive passive solar Rammed Earth and Corrugated Iron clad bespoke home. Geothermal Hydronic in slab heating and cooling was also incorporated as a major feature in this build.
The hotel is a contemporary landmark that seamlessly blends functionality with its surroundings. Its architectural vision showcases the site’s privileged north-west views, harnessing natural light and incorporating a beautifully landscaped atrium to create a unique experience for guests.
The design team faced several challenges, including maximizing the north-west views through strategic orientation of rooms and major spaces. Another key challenge was avoiding circulation conflicts by providing a dedicated loop for both banquet and hotel visitors. Additionally, the design needed to balance the brand standards while respecting the local context, requiring a thoughtful approach to architecture and spatial experience.
To address these challenges, the design team carefully oriented the hotel’s layout to capitalize on the stunning north-west views, while creating a dedicated circulation loop for banquet and hotel visitors to prevent congestion. The architecture strikes a balance between global brand standards and local context, resulting in a unique and functional design that enhances the guest experience. The landscaped atrium serves as a tranquil oasis, further elevating the hotel’s spatial experience.
